To order tuxedos for your wedding: SELECTION Ideally, you should start looking for your tuxes at least 3-6 months before your wedding date. There are several styles of tuxes to consider, and many options for vests and ties. It is best to have an appointment, although you are always welcome to drop in and browse. Normally, the bride and groom will come in together to select the formalwear for all the men in the wedding party. If, after looking at the tuxedos in the Tux Room and in our catalog, you are still not sure which tux you want for the big event, a complementary try-on appointment may be scheduled. We will measure you, and order a few different tuxedos complete with coat, pants, shirt, vest and tie. You can then try these on and select the style/color combination you prefer. Usually all the men in the wedding party will wear the same tuxedo, but often the groom will be set apart with a different color vest and tie (often white or ivory). Sometimes groomsmen, ushers, and fathers will wear different colored vests and ties. Traditionally, the ring bearer dresses exactly like the groom. Fortunately, there are no longer any strict rules to follow when picking out the attire for the wedding party. The bride and groom can choose whatever they prefer.
After you select the attire for the wedding party, you simply need to supply the names of all the men and boys who will be renting tuxedos. They can then come to the Tux Room or any formalwear store in their area to be measured. Measurements can be called in to the Tux Room at 952-846-4496, mailed in on one of our postcards, or entered on our website TuxRoom.com à Tux Measurements. All measurements should be received 1-2 months before the wedding. The tuxedos will be available to be picked up the Thursday before the wedding at 5 PM. (Occasionally, a Wednesday pickup can be accommodated.) If possible, it is best to have everyone in the wedding party come in to try on their tuxedo for a final fitting at least one day before the event. If any replacements are desired, they would be available the next day. All tuxedos must be paid for with credit card or cash when they are picked up.
To order a tuxedo for a special event: It is best to come in and pick out your tuxedo at least a month early. If you don’t have that much time, we can usually get you a tuxedo with just a few days notice, but selection may be limited. Your tuxedo will be ready to be picked up the Thursday before the event by 5 PM. It is best to come in and try on your tuxedo at least one day before the event in case any changes are desired.
